Has anyone had any experience with PhoneGaim (www.phonegaim.com)? It is the SIP VOIP version of Gaim and does seem very promising. Just installed it and seems very stimilar structure to Gaim, it use the GTK common files, and only a total of 4 reg entries. Would it be possible to make it protable?
Also i've cheked out a few other SIP/VOiP software see below, what do others think?

http://www.minisip.org/index.html (looks very promising)
Thanks.

This has been discussed many times. PhoneGaim is a dead project. It doesn't even work right as an IM client anymore (due to MSN changing their connection methods and other issues). And there are no Windows builds available anymore.
Please, before requesting an app ensure that:
1. It still works and is supported. If you haven't installed it on a Windows PC and confirmed that it works right, don't request it.
2. It's even available for Windows anymore. If you haven't installed it on a Windows PC and confirmed that it works right, don't request it.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
thanks man, i tried to install it, but am on a campus computer.... hence my interest in portable apps.
neither http://sipphone.com/phonegaim/
or http://www.phonegaim.com/
would lead me to believe the project is dead no to mention my use of it in the past.
