Windows 7 Taskbar previews and Chrome Portable

How do you get the taskbar previews to work for Chrome portable in Windows 7? There should be one preview for each tab but there is only one for the open tab.

Also related to this. When you pin Chrome or Firefox to the taskbar and then open the browser another icon for the browser appears on the taskbar and you have to icons for the program. The second icon is the one that has the jump lists not the pinned icon. Why does this happen?

Waste of time.

Seems I wasted my time asking about this.

Windows 7 Taskbar previews and Chrome Portable - Workaround

Hi,
The Portable Version is just a launcher for the real app and modifeies teh Startup and Setting. Wehn you pin the running app, the main executable is executed instead o f the Portable Wrapper and you get the Browser Profile in your Windows User Profile.

I use the Portable Version mainly because the size of the windows User Profile is limited.
I found a workaround to use pinning a Portable:
I create a Shortcut to
#:\\PortableApps\GoogleChromePortable\App\Chrome-bin\chrome.exe
as (The Name doesn't matter, just the Path):
#:\\PortableApps\GoogleChromePortable\Chrome.lnk
Target:
#:\\PortableApps\GoogleChromePortable\App\Chrome-bin\chrome.exe --user-data-dir="..\..\..\Data\profile"
Start in
#:\\PortableApps\GoogleChromePortable\App\Chrome-bin

Pin this Shortcut - that's all.
Both the GoogleChromePortable.exe and the pinned Item point to the same Profile.

The Shortcut is only available when the Driveletter and Path are the same, but for the "Main Computer" it's perfect for me.
