Yes but more information would be handy unless PA can provide something like that (arguably silly) pop-out browser that came with Windows Live and Yahoo!
More isn't necessarily better. When installing for the first time, the version genuinely doesn't matter. It's just an app you're gonna try. We could provide lots of details in that little space like version, license, publisher, etc, but in a small area like we're working in now, it's basically just extra noise.
We're going to have a new app store with additional details like that, but likely hidden with a 'more' button or similar in an upcoming release. That will afford us more area and the ability to have things shown/hidden on a click, something we simply can't do the way the app store is currently written.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
The updater tells you the latest version right on it. The app store does not as, if you're installing it for the first time, it doesn't matter.
