Hi,
I am using the portable Aloaha PDF Reader because of its size/performance and features.
http://blog.aloaha.com/2012/05/03/aloaha-releases-one-of-the-worlds-smal...
It works already portable since it is only a single .exe file. Thats why I would like to know if it would make sense to convert it to the PortableApps format.
Regards
Stef
on first look. One is I do not see the license
second is that it appears to come with PDF suite which from what I can tell is commercial software so unclear if it is trialware or what?Edited: I am partially wrong...appears this program is actually included in the PDF suite not the other way around.
Also requires .net framework which at this time is not supported in PortableApps format however a developmental version could be created

Hi,
wow, what a fast answer. The tool is freeware and it is a stand alone tool. But you are right - it is also included in other packages of that company.
The stand alone version is freeware.
You seem to be right with framework. But nowadays that is installed on nearly all machines and the tool needs only framework 2.0.
One would still have to get permission from the author to re-distribute it.
Second you are correct about Windows 7 and Vista but out of the box XP does not come with .net framework, so in theory is would not work unless it is manually installed.
That being said I was just giving out some info. At this time I am not in a position to attempt development of the app but there may be others.

Great to hear that. The permission from the author would not be a problem since I mailed them already and they said OK. So whoever does the portable app can just get the confirmation at info@aloaha.com
