flash freezes firefox after a couple seconds

any flash content will run for a couple seconds and then firefox freezes, if the content has audio the audio will continue to play for quite a while after. terminating plugin-container.exe makes firefox responsive again and produces the standard crashed plugin message.

if i restart in safe mode all flash content works fine, but if i just disable every addon myself it does the same freezing thing. i cant figure this out, any help?

im using the latest firefox and flash.

I'm having the exact same

I'm having the exact same problem... Have tried (almost) everything from reinstalling FFP 12(wiping the whole directory), Flash and display drivers. E.g. One Youtube video might play Ok, but start "stuttering" at the end. Then trying to play another causes the video to "stutter" / "choppy" but with sound.

I know Flash consumes a lot of memory/CPU but playing Flash videos with FFP 12 consumes 100's of megs of memory and often 100% CPU.

works perfect

on my side on old and new computers, however never sure if it just uses the installed or 'copied' version of flash at that moment.
