Javascript problem in Opera, I think

Has anyone else got this problem?

Some of the links on ebay.co.uk do not respond in Opera Portable.

When looking at an item for sale, I can 'see other items' but not 'add to watch list', I can't enlarge the photos or look at 'Postage and Payment', but I can place a bid. When searching some filters respond but not others.

When I hover over a link, the address appears in the lower left hand bar, except those that don't work when it says ' javascript:;'

This is not an issue with standard Opera on my Windows laptop, nor with Firefox Portable.

Opera & Java

Just a thought: Have you tried clicking the little dot that appears at the right end of the address bar? If you hover over it, it shows something like "Please click to download and activate.....". This may help.

Wot dot?

I'd never noticed it before ....it says to download and activate all plugins for this page.

I clicked it and it disappeared, but there was no difference. When I refreshed the page it reappeared.
I've tried several times on various pages - no effect.

This doesn't seem to be an issue on our side. Can you try to contact Opera Support instead, as they will most likely be able to help you out better than we can.

But its not on desktop Opera

I asked on this support forum precisely because I'm only getting the problem with portable Opera. Its OK on my laptop and my wife's PC both with desktop Opera. And I've tried Portableapps Opera on both of those computers and the problem is still there.
So its only on Portable Opera, but I will try your suggestion and contact Opera Support later when I get home.

Sorted...for now!

Did a search on My Opera Support for "portable javascript ebay" - found lots of similar issues. One suggestion was to delete ebay cookies in Opera(Settings>Preferences>Advanced>Cookies>Manage Cookies)
So I did... and all seems to be as it should be.
But will it last?

So maybe not specifically a portable issue after all ... but I've been getting round the problem by using portable Firefox!
