Google Chrome Portable incompatible when Google Chrome already installed

This is just an FYI. It'd be great if there were a solution for this.

I use both Google Chrome and Google Chrome Portable on the same computer for specific business reasons. Each time Chrome does its auto-update to a newer version, Portable quits working with the following errors on startup:

Could not get Chrome DLL version.
Could not find exported function RelaunchChromeBrowserWithNewCommandLineIfNeeded

This is probably because Chrome and Chrome Portable use references to the same .dll versions listed by Chrome in the Windows registry. When one of the versions is updated, then the other version can't get proper .dll.

The primary resolutions for me were:
1) Don't use both on the same computer; OR
2) When Chrome auto-updates to a new version, go to PortableApps and download/reinstall Chrome Portable.
