Please DONT auto delete apps with the auto updater

Its bloody stupid , grrr

Also provide an option to download to USB ( using a batch file redirecting temp worked) but i didnt figure on the bloody delete once installed idiocy
grumble.

Ill avoid using it anyway since ill be downloading via a mates broadband
im stuck on dialup again myself and i keep copies to give away etc.

Thanks for a great portable app system apart from that all the same.

Could you explain your rant a bit?
As far as I know, the auto-updater doesnt delete apps, it only overwrites parts as it updates apps. It might delete needed parts but that is a bug that should be reported here so it can be fixed.

The feature to have the updater save the downloads is planned. And you can disable the updater from running automatically.

By Design

The updater is designed to update apps. Not download and retain installers for installed apps (after it's installed, why would it need to keep the installer around for a regular user?). There is a request for enhancement for advanced users who want to retain all the installers (for reinstalls, multiple keys, OCD sake, etc), but it has not been completed yet.

It's not a bug, it's by design and it's what 99% of users need. We're going to enhance it for the 1% of users that want the updater to do something besides update in the near future. It's kept track of here:
