Firefox won't remember custom settings

Firefox won't remember custom settings

Lately, Firefox Portable will not remember any of my settings. If I make changes to the toolbars (add icons,etc) it does not remember those changes when I restart. It also won't remember if I had a bookmark sidebar open. What can I do?

This is nearly always an issue with a profile. Usually it's due to some corruption from removing the drive before Firefox has fully closed (up to a minute after you close the window on slower drives). For details on how to fix it, see the mozillaZine topic on Toolbar Customizations Reset on Startup.

And a side note to all, please search Google for issues you may be having. It's usually not something specific to you or to Firefox Portable.
