LibreOffice 3.5.5.3 crashing after I place jre in /java folder on 64bit Windows7

I have the 32bit version of Libre Office portable 3.5.5.3.

LibreOffice would warn me JRE not installed if I tried to use a feature that required java to run eg when I went File | Send...

So I installed jportable 32bit JRE inside LO's java dir. But now it crashes when I go back to File | Send...

I'm running LibreOffice Portable 3.6.1 on Windows XP.

After a while, I experienced the same message when just opening the File menu, although I had the JRE Portable already installed.

Same problem

The same problem.

I have Windows 7. I am using Portable LibreOffice 3.6.1.2; I have access to a couple of jave installs:

a) Sun Microsystems Inc. 1.6.0_35 on C:\Program Files\Java\jre6
b) Oracle Corporation 1.7.0_07 on C:\USB8\PortableApps\CommonFiles\Java

With the second version, LO crash. It works with the first (older) java install.
