Quicstarter ?

Hi,

Is there any way to start quick starter? Maybe a shorcut to start it... LibreOffice starts really slowly even second time :/

No

QuickStarter is designed to run at Windows startup (and only then) and remain running until you shut Windows down. As such, it's not included in a portable package. A 2nd launch is nearly instantaneous off a hard drive. Perhaps you should look into a faster flash drive.

I use portableapps locally,

I use portableapps locally, also on my usb drive. I can not buy new drives for this reason Smile

What you mean with: "it designed to run on startup"? VLC's file-association options has designed to work for locally installed systems. But the option page is (still) enabled. But when we use it (change settings), it crash. So you have not disabled it as default. You can enable QuickStarter for LibreOffice, maybe it will work.

Did you disable QuickStarter or it does not work as default?

Is really impossible to make a shorcut to start QuickStarter? Sad

Not included

As John already indicated, the QuickStarter isn't even included in the LibreOffice Portable package, so no, it isn't possible to make a shortcut to the QuickStarter.

Also, you mentioned the VLC file-association options: As with most of our apps, those options are not enabled by default, but are available within the app. However, as with all Portable Apps, you shouldn't ever set file associations from within the app, as this generally breaks portability.

Instead, you should use something like PortableFileAssociator or eXpresso for associating. Note that this functionality will be debuting in the Platform shortly.

@John, you had

@John, you had say:

"QuickStarter is designed to run at Windows startup (and only then) and remain running until you shut Windows down"

Should I talk about QuickStarter with LibreOffice developers?

Nope

Quickstarter is not intended for use in a portable app. It's designed for use in the local app only and to run as Windows starts to cause LibreOffice to load several of its components in memory and leave them there so that later runs appear to start faster. We are unlikely to consider it for addition to the portable package as it would be useful to an exceedingly small percentage of users and require additional specialized code and maintenance on our part.
