Problem occurring again - Download error on application update or install

On 10/1/2012, I had edited this post to say that "This no longer appears to be a problem."
However, since then, it has recurred a number of times.

It seems to happen most often with larger downloads.

I tried temporarily turning off my PC's security software before an update, but that didn't help.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

For the last week or 2 (or 3?), I have had problems whenever I try to update or install PortableApps applications.

When updating automatically on PortableApps startup or via "Right-Click->Apps->Check for Updates", or when trying to install a new application, I get the same sort of error.

Here is an example:

     Download Error: Reget Error on file https://downloads.sourceforge.net/portableapps/MarblePortable_1.4.0.paf.exe

I am running Windows 7, 64-bit edition on a Lenovo H405.
