Firefox and Chrome issues

FirefoxPortable v15.0.1
Is there any reason I have problems uploading to ADrive with Ffx? It keeps timing out after differing periods of time. ADrive signs you out after a short time of inactivity but this doesn't affect Chrome. I wondered if it was a Java or Ffx issue? No other issues I'm aware of.

ChromePortable v22.0.1229.79
Although Chrome works with ADrive pretty well, I'm curious as to why in TaskManager there is a single entry for GoogleChromePortable and 20 entries for Chrome? Is that normal or is my installation somehow corrupt? Doesn't matter what PC either. While using Chrome I notice my laptop slows down considerably, but I have no alternative but to use it for ADrive as Ffx doesn't work.

Are these problems due to PA.c or the dev's?

Win7HP64
Core i5
4GB RAM

Thanks

Scott

Chrome is multi-process

Your Chrome Portable installation is normal. If there was just one Chrome.exe instance, then something would be terribly wrong.

Ok thanks for the reply. Does anyone have any idea about the ADrive issue?

ADrive

If it keeps signing you out after inactivity, that would be a question best posed to ADrive.

Yeah but it does it while

Yeah but it does it while uploading making it impossible to use Ffx to upload, whilst Chrome works fine. Personally, though I like Chromes simple look I prefer Ffx as it has far more functionality imho.

So the problem must lie with either Java or Ffx.

Still ADrive

The issue would still be one to take to ADrive. If their product isn't working with a browser used by 20% of the people, that's something they need to look into.

Does anyone else have this

Does anyone else have this problem then? If it's ADrive it must affect every Ffx user? Just wondering, but what makes you so sure it's ADrive?

I will ask them though just to make sure.

Thanks John

ADrive, Firefox or Java

I don't use ADrive myself. But it would seem to be an issue with either ADrive, Firefox, Java or your internet connectivity. That's why I figured it would be best to ask ADrive first, as they'd know the most about people having issues with their product, even if the fault isn't in their product itself. I doubt you'll get much help asking in the forums here as I don't know if anybody else here uses ADrive.

Ah! Ok I see what you mean,

Ah! Ok I see what you mean, thanks. I've posted in their forum, hopefully I'll get some info on this.

My internet connection has been real bad since joining Sky, but it's been sorted for around two weeks now with little problems rarely appearing. But, as I said Chrome uploads fine.
