Internet Explorer Clickjacking

I am a new user. I work at a company with open windows 7 machines all over a large retail space. They are locked down fairly tightly. Portable apps have been a godsend for working arround the restrictions put in place to do my job and help my customers.
Ever since I started using Chrome and portable apps on a flash drive, the computers keep getting a click jacking virus. I am randomly sent to pixxie.com instead of where I wanted to go. The virus only affects IE. Is this something I am doing with the USB key? I have re-imaged the machines twice. I will keep the USB off the second machine and see if it helps.
Any suggestions on how I should tackle this? I would hate to lose chrome at work. It is so much faster than IE8.

It shouldn't be anything downloaded from PortableApps

It shouldn't be anything downloaded from PortableApps, but that doesn't mean your Flash Drive can't be infected by some other means.

If you are certain it is something on the Flash Drive (ie: the re-imaged machines are only infected after you use the flash drive), and probably Chrome .... could it be an extension in Chrome?

either way, you definitely need to run a decent anti-virus program on the Flash Drive as well as an anti-mailware/spyware program.

I'll leave any recommendations on what programs to use to more knowledgeable people.

ps: just to be paranoid, all your portable apps have been downloaded from this site?

Thanks for the insight

1. I formatted the USB thumb drive before I put portable apps on it. 16GB Kingston.
2. I don't use IE at home. We use IE 8 at work. I don't think I can downgrade.
3. The original installer was downloaded and signed by portableapps.com and I used the app to download all of the portable versions of the software except SketchUp 8. None of my preferences save, but it works. I haven't used Sketchup since I re-imaged the machine the first time.
4. The only extension I enabled in chrome is flash. I need it at work, we just upgraded to flash for some of our core software.

I left the drive at work, I'll bring it home tomorrow and try a direct antivirus scan. It was brand new and I formatted it.

Thanks for the input.
