It starts to open, stops, opens CornicePortable and then displays an error that says something like "application exited in an unexpected or unusual manner"
I've downloaded the application three more times this morning and used Portable apps for two of those (which also installed it. I really like that feature) and once manually and installed it using the add app process. All gave the same indications and did not load.
I've used both these methods on other apps many times with no problems, so I think I might know how to do it. Also checked my workflow with that given on the site, without any variances. (meaning I think I did it as stated).
Would really like to start using DiaPortable as MS refuses to recognize my Visio 2000 license any more. Which means I will have to re-enter all my charts and workflow things, but if I can get it to work, it will be worth my time.

Finally, I have gotten to do some more trying and have done the folowing:
Downloaded and installed DiaPortable on a USB by itself. It works but some of the functions seem to be a bit crippled, but that is not what this is about.
Reinstalled it in the Portable Apps menu on the target USB and CornicePortable again opened first, then DiaPortable opened and could be used.
This is on a Win7 system with plenty of room on the hard drive and RAM. It works and I can live with it, but it may not be what the authors intended or want advertised.
What OS version are you using?
What is your installation path?
Have you tried running DiaPortable without Portableapps.com platform/menu?
Thanks for your quick response Bart. I think I answered your questions, but I will repeat it here.

Or it could be a problem with overlap on the platform menu as DiaPortable is right below CornicePortable. I'll try removing Cornice (I was just checking it out anyway) later tonight and post what happens.

If Dia Portable runs standalone, the platform might cause the issue.
What version of the platform are you using?
