Description: From the publisher's website:
BlueGriffon is a new WYSIWYG content editor for the World Wide Web. Powered by Gecko, the rendering engine of Firefox, it's a modern and robust solution to edit Web pages in conformance to the latest Web Standards.
BlueGriffon is an intuitive application that provides Web authors (beginners or more advanced) with a simple User Interface allowing to create attractive Web sites without requiring extensive technical knowledge about Web Standards.
Because Gecko lives inside BlueGriffon, the document you edit will look exactly the same in Firefox. Advanced users can always use the Source View to hard-code their page.

It's been a while, but there is no new version of BlueGriffon anyway (why??????). It is the only HTML editor I use and actually I use it to 'compose' written letters that I then print using Firefox. I can't stand the existing alternatives anymore (OpenOffice, WordPad). HTML has the benefit of being able to do a LOT of tweaking it's just a shame that Firefox printing has some bugs..
Perhaps something like Adobe InDesign would be an alternative. I will not use anything that has the "ribbon". My standards are rather high these days.
So: in any case: I thank you for this package. I see it is still in "dev" status (or whatever) but I'll just go and use it and see how it goes..
I also thank you, Darksabre76, for developing the PortableApps version of this useful software.
To Kees_Pieterse: I also use it with a lot of advantage when I compose texts for the Web...
It leaves %APPDATA%\Disruptive Innovations SARL and %LOCALAPPDATA%\Disruptive Innovations SARL on the local system. Not stealth.
I made one that fixes that: http://www.mediafire.com/download/of93349lontult8/BlueGriffonPortable_1....

Please start your own thread, rather than hijacking someone else's thread.
Sorry, I wont do it again.
Posting a patch for a dev app is NOT hijacking!
'Last seen 3 years and 6 months ago.'
Gee, I wonder why?? THAT is how projects lose support!
The user could have requested an update instead of just posting his/her own. If the request went without a response for a month or so, then it would be ok to post their own version, but into a new thread so they could keep it updated instead of having updates peppered through comments.
But also the mod comment could have been a bit more accommodating.
Updated to 2.1.1 Dev Test 1. See release notes for details.
Version 2.3.1 Is Out.
Just an FYI Version 3.0.1 released 2017-nov-22
When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say, Jesus, could you get that for me?
I take it that there is no current protable version then, in development or otherwise?
I'm not real sure how the ONLY free HTML editor with WYSIWYG isn't in PortableApps yet.
If you look at the download numbers, this was not the most aktive userbase. But you are right, there is only Kompozer left as HTML editor and that is on hiatus for years now.
