I am having a problem with FF Portable on my work machine. While typing in a web page, if another open tab updates the cursor will jump in front of the last letter typed. I am then typing and pushing that letter along with the cursor if that makes sense. In my work environment I have several tabs open that update at least once a minute. I'm sure you can see what a problem this could be. There is an hour glass symbol next to the mouse cursor when this happens.
I'm not sure if this is an FF problem or something going on with the machine itself.
Any ideas?

Does the problem occur with Firefox 2.0 itself? I'm guessing yes. In this case, it's nothing specific to the portable version, so there's nothing I can do about it. (Check Bugzilla to see if it's been reported and ask on mozillaZine) A possible workaround would be to keep the self-updating pages in a separate window than your other pages.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
