[Closed] Updates in PortableApps.com Platform 12 Beta 2

Hello,

the PortableApps.com Platform 12 Beta 2 reports two updates for my portable apps:
- Crystal Disk Info 5.2.1
- Free Download Manager 3.9.2.1281

If I click on "Next" then nothing happens, I just get the info that all portable apps are updated.
If I then check for updates, I get the updates shown again.

Is this a bug or a beta limitation?

Greetings

OLLI

Or modify the code to display

Or modify the code to display a pop-up message "no apps selected"?

Alert

And add a huge alert when someone without a screen reader activates a function only intended for screen readers.

I don't have one and I like it

But, is it possible that the user would select no apps deliberately? If not, what about assuming all apps must be updated when no one is selected?

It Does

It already does that in normal mode, everything that has an available update is pre-selected. But the component has no method to pre-highlight when in screen-reader friendly mode. So the user must manually select them.

Not what I meant

I meant, on the screen reader-friendly mode, when the user clicks Next and no app has been selected, presume the user wanted to update all apps and act that way.

Possible

That's a possibility. Inelegant to be sure, but a possibility.

Disable "Next"

Hello,

when no apps are selected, why don't you disable the "Next" button?
Only when at least one app is selected, then "Next" is enabled.

This would make the usage more clearly.

Gets my vote

That's the way I would program it

Nope

The components don't permit that either at present.

As this is already noted on the main platform bug tracker, I am closing this bug. For now, if you're not using a screen reader, don't set it in screen reader mode.
