The android SDK should be available to android developers who want to make applications on-the-go. This in combination with eclipse and the JDK SE, will allow people to do just that.

I'm planning to release the Android SDK, but am waiting for the release of the JDK first.

If you want an IDE (such as Eclipse or JetBrains), you'll have to deal with that separately, as only the command-line tools are provided in this package (Android SDK, JDK/JRE, Apache Ant)
