Lately firefox has become very slow...

When it loads pages like youtube or imdb.com it just freeze for about a minute, then you get 1 click before it freeze for another. First write "youtube.com" and then write something in search, when it list something, click one, and then after about 1 minute it says "A script is taking too long to finish...", but clicking stop doesn't solve it...

There hasn't been any problems before and no new installs. It's got Flash video downloader and simple adblock 1.08 extentions and adobe acrobat and shockwave flash add-ons.

I don't know why it also displays other addons like java or extentions like AVG, because according to descriptions it was manually configured on about:... page to only load portable settings. Unless the most recent automatic updates has overwritten that. I haven't re-checked it, but that really piss' me off, if I have to set those configurations again.

While writting this the device was plugged into PC with win xp, and there was no problem now. But 2 other places with win 7, it went very slow. The ciber cafes here usually have win xp and a few win 7.

Just uninstalled and

Just uninstalled and reinstalled with the same addons, and only the computer's avg extentions. It's fast again now, but I lost bookmarks and some extentions.

just in case it happens again ...

try the following addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/febe/?src=search .... lets you easily save all or part of settings as individual files.
Has saved me a few times

Found the bug by turning off

Found the bug by turning off all extensions and addons and then by turning them on again one by one, it's shockwave flash 11.5.50X.XXX that makes firefox mega slow on this win 7 PC.

So I tried an earlier version (http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html) 10.3 and did all the tricks to get it from local PC to portable. It works. And 10 times better!
