I recently downloaded and installed quite a few of the portable applications that were available through portableapps.com. It seemed to go well except for these messages that popped up after every install indicating that the computer was unable to write to the USB drive after the install. Several of the earlier applications that I downloaded do appear in the menu, but most of them don't. The applications seem to work if I execute them directly from the pen drive portable applications folder. I would like to be able to launch them from the menu system but can't figure out why they're not appearing in the menu. I probably need to find out first why the installation process, which obviously sees the pen drive cannot write to the INI file, and maybe run some other process to install the menu items. Any help in this effort would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
If you get errors of being unable to write to the USB drive, that usually indicates an issue with the drive. Often, this shows up as corruption and read/write errors. I'd suggest scanning your drive for errors (you can do it from the PA.c Platform's help menu) first.

Exactly how do I find that help menu. The link in your response took me to a car insurance site.
My response has no links within it. If you see some, your PC is infected with adware. Which could mean you also have malware that is affecting your USB drive.
