Could anyone please help me with my password protected USB drive?

I've got a Toshiba Usb flash drive with password protect on it. (Lockv241)
This is the user guide: http://www.inov8-memory.co.uk/downloads/UDPv224.pdf

I've stupidly forgotten the password and I've only got one more chance to try it before it reformats my whole disk.
IS there anyway I could unlock the usb/ access the protected files or even restore them if the disk is reformatted.

Any help is appreciated because this is very urgent.
Thank you

It Depends

Many of those "use a piece of software to trigger the unlock" drives are highly vulnerable to simple hacks. Most of them were up until a few years ago when Sandisk, Kingston and others recalled all or nearly all of them. (see here). So, it depends on when it was made, who it was made by, etc.

That said, you need someone who specializes in it to exam it or to find a tool somewhere online. If you can't find that or if your drive is not vulnerable to a software hack, it could be disassembled and the memory chips directly accessed by an engineer. At that point, they could either be accessed directly if it's just a drive password or brute force hacked if the data is encrypted. That is, unless your drive is high security and filled with epoxy which would cause the chips to be ripped apart when it is disassembled. Barring any of those, you are out of luck, though.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
