Can I install the Platform in a local hard drive and use it?

I'm going to stick with my laptop for some months, so I decide to liberate my USB stick by running the Platform with my mostly used portable apps directly from local HDD. Will all data still be confined within the installation folder, leaving no traces elsewhere?
And question two, by the time I switch to another PC, if I simply copy the entire folder to the root of a USB stick and connect it to the new PC, will the Platfrm still work?
And just out of curiosity, what will happen if I click the eject button while running it from local drive?
Thaks in advance.

Yes
  1. Yes. However, like every portable app, it isnt stealth so it will leave some traces behind. But there is nothing we can do about that as its a windows thing (Windows makes a list of all applications you run for example). Some apps will copy stuff to the TEMP folder during run.
  2. Depends on tha path. If the relative path stays the same, all apps will work (i. e. if only the drive letter changes). If it changes, some apps will break.
  3. I have no idea but I think nothing will happen as Windows wont eject local drives.
