When app is marked as favorite it is show at top of list of menu "All portable apps". But when I go to categorized menu app is shown on it's alphabetical position. Is it how it should be? I would prefer it on top of list.

...favoriting only affects the all apps view. I think this is intentional since favorites are generally not necessary in the category view.
This is also the same as Windows. When you pin an item to the Start Menu, it still shows in its normal position within all apps. This is by design. It's up top as a favorite in your main view so you can quickly get it, but still shows in the proper position in all apps view so it is where it is expected to be. You can adjust your view to always show categories with favorites up top if you'd like within Options.
