Hi all,
I am running Windows 7 HE X64.
When I try to run Dtask Manager it gives the error of
"Run-time error '5':"
"Invalid procedure call or argument"
The writeup states: System Requirements: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7
So I am at a loss for what the problem is??
Tnx a bunch!
Sincerely,
SueN
This sounds like an issue with the base app. Have you tried running the program directly? If you try that and still run into this issue, you will have to report it directly to the developer's website.
I'm inclined to think it is more to do with Windows 7 HE than the base app.
Just to let you know, PortableApps does not support non-official builds of Windows.
EDIT: Or are you talking about HE as in Home Edition? My first thought was Windows Hacker Edition.
Works fine here on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate both with and without admin rights after the UAC check. If HE means home, not sure that would affect it. If HE means one of the modded versions of Windows, that's likely why.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Hi all,
HE is for Home Edition (of windows 7 X64).
I have tried running it in compatible mode as a Win XP SP2 & same thing happens!
Oh John,
The UAC is turned completely off on this Laptop! If that makes a difference?
My Dad turned it off, just said I don't need it?? Any comments on this?
All other PA's run okay without it!
I am really at a loss now ;>( !!!
Tnx, Sue
Are you running the very latest version of the app? I have Win 7 64bit here, and the current version runs fine. I do vaguely recall that an older version of this program produced an error when you clicked on the "Ports" tab though (that was an error in the base application itself, not the PAF version) - I can't recall now exactly what the error was, but the text you posted sounds familiar.
I used to have a sig...until one of the mods ate it
Yes, am running latest version(s) from both PA.com & from Dimio's web site 1.51!!
Putting that error test into Google brings up a few links (not for DTaskManager but for other software) that apparently is caused by a virus infection. Can you be sure your system is clean?
