Would it be legal to make a portableapps version of Lamexp?
I'm asking because this program include lame mp3 encoder and i have read that this would be illegal in some country's?
The license of this program states this:
LameXP is free software. You can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public
License (GPL) as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or (at your
option) any later version. This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY
WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

change the works. By contrast, the GNU General Public License is intended to guarantee your freedom to share

Please see the GNU General Public License for more details!
I think i found the answer to my own question:
The license acceptation of this program (If you start the program) has a separate tab for the used encoders. If you accept the license you agree to install and use LAME (and other encoders) so it's up to the user if he/she accept it or not.
Remains the question if this is legal for portableapps?
Thanks for the support, and because nobody responded i have posted this wonderfull app in the betaforum.
