I have a general request: because all applications are 32bit apps, is it possible to preview a development for some (or any) 64bit?
I'm particularly interested on graphics and maths apps, but also games could have benefit, isn't?
Many thanks
Piero

x64 applications
Where an app specifically requires the 64bit version on a 64bit machine, or where it does provide an obvious performance benefit, we do already bundle both the 32 and 64 bit versions and the Launcher selects which one needs to be run when the app is launched.
However most apps provide little to no benefit between running the 32bit or 64bit versions on a 64bit processor, especially when you take into account that the package at least doubles in size to include a 64bit version.
The details on what winterblood is talking about are here:

We do lots of dual mode 32-bit + 64-bit portable apps now wherever they net a good performance boost relative to the app size increase (7-Zip, PeaZip, etc), offer better features or functionality (RawTherapee, AkelPad, Notepad2, etc) or are required to properly support all machines (jKDefrag, PeerBlock, Explorer++, etc). It's just all handled automatically and transparently, so users don't need to worry about it.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
