to be sure its not fault of modifications i made to my folder of PortableApps
i download fresh PortableAppsPlatform
installed it to PAP folder on desktop
and moved all apps you see on my list to PAP\PortableApps
i did not make any changes in PortableAppsPlatform i just launch it after installation and it still says all apps are up to date
even restarting PortableAppsPlatform did not make any change
You have renamed the app's directory.
If you rename the directory of the app to something other than the AppId it will not update. To update you need TeamViewer in a directory called "TeamViewerPortable", not "Team Viewer".
yea i just figured it out my self by installing team viewer and finding out it was installed to folder named TeamViewerPortable but Thank You
anyway so whats the point of PortableAppsPlatform even seeing/listing that app in/from that folder if it cant update it cause i renamed it ?
The Platform lists any executable that is in an immediate sub-directory of where it is installed. This is to allow non-paf apps to also be used in the Platform.
The Updater ignores apps that are in correct paf format if you rename the directory it is in so that you can purposefully exclude apps from being updated.
As an example, I have FirefoxPortable (which will update), Firefox12Portable, Firefox16Portable and Firefox6Portable so I have a small selection of past Firefox versions to test my work on that will never update.
well that make sens
im using rocketdock + stack docklets so for me all apps are listed like this

so i could not find any usage for PAP without update feature
