Where does Eraser works?

Hi,

As I understand we can not owerwrite a file from USB flash drives. We need to writee whole empty space of usb flash drive. So, Eraser (https://portableapps.com/apps/security/eraser-portable) will not works for USB drives but will work for Hard Drives? Am I right?

Yes and No

Eraser will overwrite a file enough that you should not be able to locate the bits of it using a flash drive. Wear leveling takes place within the drive firmware and a properly-configured drive would overwrite and map those bits to the right location. Someone would be able to remove the memory from the flash drive and get at some of the bits of the file, though. At least in theory.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
