Portable Apps 11.2 - Installing Apps always hangs

I have just installed Portable Apps 11.2 onto a 32GB SD Card (to try out).

I have managed to install one App (CppCheckPortable), but when I try to install another, it just hangs. More than hangs, I cannot shut my PC down. I notice the same thing if I select multiple apps to install, it hangs on the first one every time.

My PC is running Windows 8 64-Bit.

Any ideas someone?

Fixed

I was using a brand new SanDisk 16GB SD card. No reason to suspect there was a problem. However, tried an old 2GB USB stick, works just fine. SD car is looking iffy.
