if you close the program by clicking on the x at top right corner (ie standard way of closing any window in windows since windows 1.0), the process does not terminate, but instead stays in the background doing who knows what.
if you want to restart it, you basically have to use task manager and kill everything associated with it first, acknowledge the error message when you restart it (that it did not shut down correctly), and then open it again.
work around: use File menu and select Exit instead.
perhaps the developer can read this and add an event to the window onClose event (or equivalent depending on the language used to develop it)
