[Closed] Problem installing XnView

When trying to install the new version (2.00) an error message is displayed. Can anybody confirm this bug?

Details

It would be more helpful to know what the error message is.

Translation of the error message

"C:\Users\XYZ\Downloads\XnViewPortable_2.00.paf.exe

You can't access the device, path or file. You may not have the authorization to access the element."

I even tried installing the file with admninistrator rights but I got the same error.

Broken Temp?

That indicates something broken within the OS. The most common culprit is a broken TEMP directory... either non-existent or messed up permissions. Or your antivirus went haywire and quarantined it.

That's strange. Every other

That's strange. Every other file from PortableApps is working perfectly!

I'm using F-Secure Anti-Virus.

How Far Does It Get?

How far does it get when you run the installer? Have you tried manually scanning with F-Secure and then disabling it and running the installer?

Problem solved!!!

This is really amazing!

After disabling F-Secure installation of XnView functioned alright!

I'd never thought it could be the Anti-Virus software!

Thanks you so much for your help! Smile
