Hi,
I was just wondering if its possible to trigger a app update when the program is already running?
I have a work PC / Server that now has portable apps running on it continually, I'd like it always kept up to date.
Is there any way of triggering an update other than closing and restarting the app?
I'm not to worried about the install bit, just kicking off the checking bit, the PC is checked every day so I can manually install the apps its just reminding me to do it!
Thanks, sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place or this is already discussed somewhere else I could find anything!
Thanks
Pete
We're going to add in the ability to have it check automatically at a set interval shortly.
UPDATE: And, oh yeah, what Gord said. When running, just click Apps - Check For Updates. It's also under Help so people don't miss it. I completely missed the fact that you missed that the ability to manually trigger an update is in there.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Its quite simple, so hope this helps.
With the platform open, click on Apps > Check for Updates.
The platform will then check, see if there are any updates, give you a list, and begin. if you have any apps needing updates that are open while the process is going on, you will be prompted to close them when the updater gets to them.
