Thank you for your reply, I guess I am just anxious to see the improvements and bleeding-edge innovation of this app.
By the way, it there any possibility PortableApps can be made "more usable" for use on WINE in Ubuntu?
It seems like it should work, but in Gnome Shell I have to end up clicking Start.exe everytime I want the menu to pop up. Gnome Shell will show the icon of the PortableApps menu in the Gnome Shell tray, but when you go to click it, it doesn't pop up.
I realize it may be rather low-priority, but if you can have someone look into it and solve it, I would appreciate it. I really like Ubuntu, and WINE offers some Windows app compatibility, but PORTABLEAPPS brings a whole new level of opportunities to Ubuntu.
If you could do so, I might have an interest in a possible business partnership or sponsorship of the project in the very near-future.
well we do try and test wine compatibility and just a fair bit of warning, we do not allow links in signatures, but for business partnerships etc I would refer you to here https://portableapps.com/about/contact#business
as for the gnome-shell issue, I never really had such issue using the latest version of gnome shell via archlinux, I mean it is a bit of a pain trying to bring up the systray but it works for me

I will remove signature link that immediately, thank you for the warning. It's just a business signature habit.
Anyway, thank you for your help, I really like PortableApps + WINE + Ubuntu setup, and need certain apps in Ubuntu that WINE can't handle and Ubuntu doesn't offer. That's where PortableApps comes in handy. If you guys could get that going, I'd really appreciate it.
I am using Ubuntu Gnome 13.04 with Gnome Shell 3.6 by the way.
we have a saying... It's done when it's done
just have patience

We still stuck at 12.0 Beta 2. What's wrong?
