If you got any bookmarks you can backup in Bookmarks -> show all -> Import & Backup
1. delete your firefox folder
2. Install the default one
3. Download http://notepad.patheticcockroach.com/2243/flash-11-for-portable-browsers... portable flash and copy ALL 4 files (extracted) to \PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\plugins (NOT \PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\DefaultData\plugins)
4. Start firefox and do your settings and install your extensions
5. In URL Location, write "about:config" and then set "plugin.scan.plid.all" to "false"
6. Rightclick anywhere and select New -> Integer and write "extensions.enabledScopes" set to "0"
Restart firefox.
just did it and firefox is playing flash 11.xx videos fine
If you have upgraded your Firefox browser to Firefox 21, the version that got released yesterday, you may have noticed that plugins or extensions that were formerly usable in the browser were not anymore after the upgrade.

In my opinion firefox has to issue a new release to correct this error. Staying with 20.0.1 until this is cleared up.
Thanks for the link. I moved my NPSWF32.dll from
P:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox\plugins
to
P:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox\browser\plugins
and Flash is working again.
YMMV
[FWIW: I did have to create the plugins directory under App\Firefox\browser first.]
the older browser 20
C:\portable\FirefoxPortable\App does not have a directory called browser listed like 21
You're using the wrong folder. Please read the documentation.
https://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable#plugins
If the above fails, try the alternate (and more geeky) method:
1. Install the plugin in a local copy of Firefox (on your hard drive)
2. Locate your plugins directory (usually C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\)
3. Copy the plugin you need from there to your FirefoxPortable\Data\plugins directory (Some Examples: For Flash, copy NPSWF32.dll... for Shockwave, copy np32dsw.dll)
you are using the wrong one as time has advanced and we have new versions of browsers and therefore there is new folder structure.
So what you write here is not valid any more.
And BTW, you will hardly find any plugins in the C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\ today as most of them are resident in one of the system directories now.
And furthermore some suppliers of plugins and their associated programs (like adobe) managed to make it somewhat more difficult to use their plugins portably.

Data\plugins works fine for me. Hmm.
In the firefoxportable.ini:
PluginsDirectory=Data\plugins
Still the same path as before. And it didn't break when I upgraded to FF21.
But if FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox\browser\plugins works, then more power to you.
