Request: portable todo list for PC with Android app

Hi,

I'm looking for a portable app to manage tasks (todo list), that can do a 2-way sync to/from an Android smartphone, either by USB cable or through the cloud (services like Google, RTM, Astrid, etc.).

Best would be a *portable* app that can sync with Outlook, but if that isn't possible I'd be happy to manage my tasks with a separate PC-app, as long as it's portable.

As I use Fingertips to enter taks items, it would be nice if new tasks can be entered from the commandline or (in the case of a cloud service) by sending an email to the cloud service (as in RTM).

Thanks!

Preferred app-features: allow adding commandline

synkron

for simple file synchronisation I am using

https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/synkron_portable

For sync of outlook, this is very much something different as it is not files to be synched but contenets.
For that you should use Apps providded by Android and not sync apps for windows.
However note, that depending on where your outlook is driven from (exchange server???) the task is more then complex often.

Google tasks?

There are a number of task managers for Android that will integrate with Google tasks. If you choose to go with Google tasks, then you just need to find the App you like best. The one I have been using, and really like, is "Any.Do". It has a number of really nice features, one being if you miss a call on your Droid, then Any.Do will notify you and ask if you want to schedule a new task to call them back.

As for a portable app to sync with Google tasks you can use the "Google Task Sync" plugin for Mozilla Thunderbird or Sunbird (Both of which are portable and already available here on PortableApps.com

You can also get access to your tasks from the web by signing into gmail with your Google account.

I hope you can find something that works to your satisfaction!

Edit: I just re-read your post and in light of your last paragraph I am not sure if my suggestion will fit your needs.

It amazes me that on the internet you can be anything you want, and yet so many people still choose to be idiots.
