CamStudio = Stealth/hidden mode?

I sometimes need support /people connecting to computers etc for service.
And I want to learn,repeat some of the things those technicians do.

Tryed out the build-in Teamviewer recorder:

-but it alerts everyone whats going on, with big play/pause
symbols and a "record" thumbnail in the corner visable for the other partner.

-The same thing with CamStudio i belive? Or is it possible to record directly to the usb-drive and the entire process dont show to much?
(except the process & shortcut in the taskbar ofc..)

Kinda stealth

Open CamStudio. It will create an icon at the right side of the taskbar. Exit the window that CamStudio pops up. Right click on the icon I mentioned. Click record. In the taskbar you'll see what looks like a window that says "Flashing" next to the CamStudio icon. If you click on it, nothing happens, so people won't know what it means unless they've seen it before. To hide it, you can use something like VirtuaWin and change desktops to hide it. (I'm sure the TeamViewer recorder play/pause buttons go away as well when you switch desktops, but I haven't tried it.) When you press stop, the recording is automatically saved in CamStudioPortable\Data\Recordings, but the CamStudio window pops up at the end as well.
