the pipe "|" brings up the PortableApps menu

Hi guys,

on my PortableApps 11.2 platform I am facing a strange probleme I didnt have on the older versions.

After opening the applications for the first time (apps like Opera, Notepad++ or SuperPutty), when I click the "|" (pipe) button, the menu of POrtableApps is brought in the foreground. I have to close it, and come back to the app I was before. I was looking for the shortcuts leading the pipe to the PA menu, but I found nothing...

Is it a known bug ?

cheers,
Michal

Nope

It's not a known bug. And the PA.c Menu only binds CTRL-ALT-SPACE by default. If you're using a laptop with an oddball keyboard layout, Windows could possibly confuse the two. In theory, I suppose, as I've never seen it happen in practice.

You can change the hotkey by manually editing the INI with the platform closed:

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Actually, I found now that it

Actually, I found now that it was not "|" that was bringing the PortableApps menu on the foreground... It was the combination "right alt + space"... When I wanted to tap "|" on the french keyboard (AZERTY), I was using the "alt gr + 6" and the "space" directly after that.

So I have to modify the INI file now. I will try it out! Thanks.

Michal

Well,

'Alt Gr'-'Space' (german keyboard layout) opens the menu by default too.

You are both right.

You are both right. Unfortunately I cannot disable it:

This is what I have:

GlobalHotKey=CTRL-ALT-SPACE

This is what I changed:

GlobalHotKey=DISABLED

But after every restart of the PortableApps this value is on "CTRL-ALT-SPACE" again...

I would like to desactivate this menu showing up cause this is driving me crazy :(:(

pozdrawiam/cheers,
Michal

Make sure...

as John stated, that your platform is closed while changing the values in the .ini file. It will not save if the platform is open.

Hope this helps!
