Updates Problems

When I run the updates I get a list of all the programs that need updating.

However when I run the updater all the files downloads come back as ERROR and nothing updates?

Does anyone have any idea how I can solve this please?

Me too

I would imagine that it is a system problem that JH will fix when he becomes aware of it. I will check again in a few hours.

Nothing on this end

Nothing is wrong on this end. And I just downloaded and updated without issue. What is the exact error you see, preferably with a screenshot.

Working now.

The message was similar to..unable to update now, check back later.
But it seems to be resolved, wherever the issue was.

Thanks,

Usually, the only time this will happen is if you run the updater/app store while the another copy is shutting down. For instance, if you check for updates as the platform is finishing the automated update check on launch. There is some protection against this in the current beta and will be more shortly.

File Issue

When that happens, the update.ini file was deleted between one step of the updater/app store and the other. This is either due to you running two copies of the updater/app store at the same time and one finishing (often done unintentionally as the platform autoruns the updater on startup), permissions issues on your TEMP directory, or a problematic antivirus messing things up.

Ensure no additional copies are running in task manager. Close it. Wait a moment. Run it again. If you encounter the same error, it's one of the latter two reasons.
