I have set the w7icon to be onnly in the tray and not in the task bar.
However, this has the effect that all contetents of the w7 desktop are hidden as long as the platform is on.
How can I hide the icon in the task bar and have it only in the tray but keep the desktop?
I was using mainly the 1.6 Platform so far , so all such effect are somehow new to me.

Check the PortableApps.com\Data\PortableAppsMenu.ini file and see if the [DisplayOptions] section has an entry for
HideDesktopIcons=False.True, change it.FalseAND it appears after the entry forHideDesktopIcons, try moving the entry forHideDesktopIconsto the end of the [DisplayOptions] section.Note: Only make these changes with the platform closed, otherwise the changes won't be saved.
