Ok, not sure if this, the Portable apps dev, or general forum is the right place to post it. If I screwed up then sorry ^^;
Anyway, I found a VPN app called "Freegate" that doesn't require installation or special drivers.
All I can say it works like a charm, the IP adress of the computer I was using changed from "CYBERARLES france" to some electronic company in the US XD
Its main objective though is "anti-censorship", for China I believe. But it'll work for privacy also.

For me the download section didn't work so I found the download on "softpedia" (since the cnet and softsonic download clients were admin blocked)

I don't think its open source, but it IS intended to work on a flash drive, so there you go ^^
there are many , many such systems, like http://ultrasurf.us/ for example or for more serious users https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en
but why all try to call it VPN I do not know. It is just a proxy used this or other way.
