[Closed] 12b2 killing explorer.exe shell

A good proportion of the time that I start or load the platform, the explorer.exe Windows shell process stops working. As in, desktop icons disappear, and the desktop stops responding to mouse clicks. I can kill the process and start a new one and all is fine again. I haven't been able to pin down exact circumstances why this happens sometimes but not others. What steps should I take to help find what is causing the issue?

I did a search, but found nothing.

BTW, the "Known Issues" link on the platform support page is dead.

Hide Desktop Icons

You have the Hide Desktop Icons feature which hides the desktop icons and also hides the ability for it to respond to right-clicks. Turn it off in Options - Advanced.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
