The problem is that those dont have voice, photo share, or some other similar feature that the official client lacks. That being said, which client supports the most features of Yahoo! Messenger?
I doubt any of the multi-IM clients, open or closed, have any plans to incorporate more Yahoo features these days. At least in the US, Yahoo IM is dead and folks have moved on to other services (Google Chat, Jabber, Skype, etc). I still have a Yahoo IM account live in Pidgin, but all it gets is constant spam - something you don't see on the other IM services - so I usually keep it logged out.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
