As a professor, I personally use many PortableApps, and require my students to use them as well. Is there a way to set up a "Custom Collection" of apps with a link for ease of downloading? As of now, I have students come by so I can copy them on to their pen drives, one at a time.
I could give them a laundry list of apps to download and install, but this seems like a huge waste of time. Also, a couple of Apps we use are made unusually hard to find on your site: Maxima and R, as they are not listed with the main apps list on your site, and makes the whole process more difficult for students to package themselves.
Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome.

well with the current platform base install the platform launches the updater which also acts as the App downloader too and the downloading function starts allowing users to select what applications they want from our catalog. It's as simple as that

For now, ticking the boxes in the app store is easiest for people who want to download without copying yours. But we'll have some easier ways to distribute custom suites in the near future.
