because the lightworks license isnt yet open source. They have plans to go open source at least with a part of the software but that hasnt happened yet so someone would have to ask theor permission to do their app as a portable app.
Besides, Video editing requires pretty powerfull PCs and therefore its not very feasable to be used from an USB drive.
