I'm trying to use Firefox on a public computer at a Workforce center. Neither Firefox nor the Proxy Get utility will identify the proxy settings. I also do not have access to the Internet Options or Network settings in IE.
Everytime I try to visit a site, I'm asked for a Username/Pass.
However, Chrome Portable does work, and seems to auto-detect the proxy settings without any input from me. But, Chrome also respects the security settings of IE, and will also not allow me to view the details of the proxy settings under Options.
As posted by another user, I think the proxy settings might be configured using a file type (.pat?) that isn't being recognized by either Firefox or Proxy Get.
I really don't like using Chrome and would much prefer Firefox. Any suggestions?
