Hey Gord, thanks for your effort, this is heaven sent! I just started a new job where I'm forced to use PortableApps (thanks to centralized and very restrictive IT). As a long time OpenProj user I'll surely test drive your "port" to PortableApps.
I've used this version for a few hours now. No problems at all. I even managed to change the language to Dutch. You will have to make changes to the ProjectLibrePortable.ini in PortableApps\ProjectLibrePortable\App\AppInfo\Launcher.
replace: CommandLineArguments=-Xms128m -Xmx768m -jar "%PAL:AppDir%\projectlibre\projectlibre.jar"
with: CommandLineArguments=-Xms128m -Xmx768m -Duser.language=nl -Duser.country=NL -jar "%PAL:AppDir%\projectlibre\projectlibre.jar"
PL will be in Dutch and the dates are in European format. Of course other languages are possible but I do not know all possible codes. I know this will be overwritten with a new version of the PortableApps package.
Thank you for building this package.
Hello,
i'm trying to launch projectlibre portable, but nothing happend after seeing a picture with this message :
Development Test Release
Not fully supported - Alpha or Beta Quality
I'm using portableapps with a simple USB key.
Thanks for reading.
Hello mokemann,
Do you have JAVA installed? It is requierd to launch ProjectLibre.
Succes.
Because of the IT policy, I was looking for portable apps. This looks awesome.
Thanks and Regards,
Kiran.
The base app has been updated to 1.5.9
Thanks
Thanks!
Somehow, I can't seem to get the portable Java to work... it does, however, work with LibreOfficePortable. I would think that integrating ProjectLibre into LibreOffice would be a good thing and finally a great boost in the competition with Microsoft Project.

Thanks, i some how prefer this to the Gant X-project.
Although is there an option to show the Task ID, duration etc. on the bars?
Hey Gord, is there any plan to make this an official release this any time soon? Thanks!
I haven't added it to the "Ready for release" thread yet, although I suspect it likely is. However, this app is java based, meaning it would be added to the list of java apps for release once we release them.
Hi Gord,
I'm relatively new, and am trying to understand this package's likelihood of final release... Is there an issue with Java that is preventing this from getting active updates to latest stable version, ie, 1.7 at the moment? I would looooove to get v1.7 as a release PortableApp...
Thanks,
kmelch
Hello
It would be great to get the current 1.7 ProjectLibre as portable app.
Kind regards,

The base app has been updated to 1.7.0.
Base app updated
Thanks, works well. Time to make this app official?
Hi, this version is up to 1.9.1 now I think. Is there active development on keeping up with newer versions?
I didn't want to install it at work if a portable install is available!
Hi Gord,
Thank you for your past development on this software. It has been a while since you posted version 1.80 and there have been several updates (current is 1.9.2). Like many others, my work computer does not allow installation of software and I am dependent on portableapps to supplement. Hoping this software will progress out of the developement stage to the permanent apps list.
Respectfully,
Marshall
