- The latest version of Mednaffe supports mapping the controls through the GUI and is now built as a portable static executable. When updating it is recommended to back up the MednaffePortable to a separate location, then start with a fresh install of the new version. Run the new version once and close it, then copy over any specific files (saves, bios, configurations, etc.) back into their respective folders. This will give you the most up to date version and will remove the now unnecessary GTK files that were required in the older versions.
