well so in short of it
before i reinstalled windows and download update via PAP of Audacity (few months ago) audacity was working just fine
today i launch it and nothing happen after splash screen appear
i always install same programs and stuff on new windows (xp pro 32 by the way)
so there is no way it could be something im missing or installed wrong version i have same visuall c++ same netframework same service pack
i used uncle google and i found other guy who had same problem but well did not find solution
so i just wanna ask does any 1 of you got links to older version of portable audacity cause that is last step i think can help me
i did everything you could think of reinstal audacity move it to other directory launch it from usb reinstall sound card drivers install codes and reinstall them
well nothing helps so i think my only option is to downgrade so i will be happy if any 1 can give me links to older version

yep older version works like a charm
just downloaded audacity 2.0 (not the portable version) and launches just fine WTF !!!!!

Does it work if you install a new copy of the latest Audacity (2.0.3) into a different folder (for exmaple C:) and run it from there? Just to make sure its running as a clean install on your PC.

2.0.3 works just fine even after i copied content of 2.0.3 and pasted over that audacity that didint work in a 1st time
but as i said ORRYGINAL/NORMAL version 2.0.0 of adudacity works just fine
latest version from audacity dont work for me so idk wtf but thank You for Your help i preffer using portable version and version 2.0.3 from link You provided works just fine
latest audacity works just fine for me across all platforms from linux, windows and osx, the issue could be with your computer, and the reason they make new versions is that stuff does get broken and they try to fix it, of course with fixing there can sometimes be regressions, if you are experiencing a regression post it in the audacity project's site instead of complaining about it.
