Android won't permit apps to be run unless they are installed. Plus, there's really no reason to. It's not like you're often using other people's smartphones or tablets and would want to connect a USB drive (for the very few devices that support USB on the go) or connect in your own Dropbox account.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
